These tactics may help reduce body fat and loose weight.

-Drink enough water

Most people are dehydrated. They don't know how much water they should be drinking, so they do not drink enough water. Eight to ten glasses of water per day are recommended. Proper water intake is the key to weight loss, otherwise the body can't metabolize the fat. Water is vital to digestion and metabolism. It plays an essential role in feeding the cells with nutrients and oxygen through the blood. It helps carrying off waste products and toxins from the body, regulates body temperature and lubricates the joints.

-Stay active

Try to exercise 30 to 60 minutes every day. No need to exercise hard, either. You can walk, swim and stretch. These are good exercises for keeping in shape. Try these activities to get moving:
*Go outside for a walk.
*Avoid taking the elevator. Use the stairs instead.
*Walk or bike as often as you can instead of driving.
*When you drive to some place, try to park further and walk to the destination.
*Vacuuming, washing the floor, washing the car, cleaning the bathroom, are household activities that burn calories.
*Try running, biking, gardening, skating, dancing, etc.
*Limit TV watching and game playing

-Adopt a healthy diet and good eating habits

-Avoid soft and sports drinks. They contain too much sugar, so drinking low-fat milk or water instead is recommended.
-Eat five servings of fruit and vegetables every day.
-Avoid eating fast food. Choose healthier meals like grilled chicken and salads, and eat regular servings - not more!
-If you want a snack, try carrot sticks, a piece of fruit, or a piece of whole-grain toast instead of processed foods like chips and crackers, which can be loaded with fat and calories.
-If you need a snack, eat carrots, fruit or a serving of whole grain cereals instead chips, cookies or crackers that are high in fat and calories.
-Eat only if you are hungry.
-Choose a healthy breakfast every day.
-Avoid eating while watching TV. You may eat more than you want to.
-Pay attention to the portion sizes of what you eat.
